2026 Quilt Show

Quilted items must consist of a 3-layer sandwich.

2026 Quilt Show Categories

1. LARGE:  A quilt with a perimeter of 281” or greater

2. MEDIUM: A quilt with a perimeter of 181” – 280″

3. SMALL: A quilt, or quilted item, with a maximum perimeter of 180”

4. MINIATURE:  A quilt with a maximum perimeter of 96” depicting a miniaturized version of a full size quilt. Individual pieced blocks, if used, must be 4” or less. A bound full-size block is not considered a miniature, neither is a hexie quilt made with pieces ½” or greater. 

5. ART: Quilts in this category will include:

• Abstract and Improvisational – Non-pictorial with an emphasis on colour, line and
  design
• Depiction of Human or Animal Form – Illustrates a recognizable aspect of the
  human or animal form
• Landscapes or Still Life – Illustrates a recognizable aspect of natural or manmade scenery; or a recognizable object(s)

6. WEARABLES & ACCESSORIES: Quilted garments, bags and pillows

7. YOUTH: A CTQG member must sponsor each youth entrant.  The entrant’s age as of March 31, 2026, determines placement in the subcategory.

• youth between 14 and 17 years.

8. GUILD CHALLENGES

• 2024-2025 Party Bag Challenge
• 2025-2026 Panel Challenge
